Leadership

How Givingtide Is Led

Givingtide International is guided by distinct leadership roles, each aligned to the organisation’s mission and values.

International Secretariat

The International Secretariat is responsible for administration, coordination, and implementation across Givingtide’s global activities.

  • It is led by a Secretary-General, supported by two Deputy Secretaries-General, and one Assistant Secretary-General.
  • Deputy SG, Global North Affairs (Oslo)
  • Deputy SG, Global South Affairs (Abuja)
  • Assistant SG, Liaison Nexus (Washington, D.C.)

Global Council

The Global Council provides fiduciary oversight and stewardship of resources, ensuring accountability, sustainability, and institutional integrity.

Members serve in a personal capacity and bring experience across philanthropy, finance, development, ethics, and public service.

World Assembly

The World Assembly serves as Givingtide’s advocacy, advisory, and moral voice.

It brings together respected individuals from across regions and disciplines who help elevate the vision of shared prosperity in global discourse. The Assembly does not govern or administer the organisation.

Founding Phase

Designed to build institutions that endure

Givingtide was founded by two African physicians and is currently in a defined founding phase, designed to establish strong institutions capable of governing independently for generations to come.
